BICBCBH, Bosnia

Bible Institue of the Christian Baptist Church of Bosnia, Sarajevo

Bosnia-Herzegovina is a comparatively new country, established painfully during a war, which lasted from 1992 to 1995. Previously this was a communist country, and while a few protestant churches have existed here for many years, protestant believers have been few in number. The Christian Baptist Church in Bosnia is the youngest member of the European Baptist Federation. Most people in the country have a Muslim, Orthodox or Catholic heritage.

In a newly established country a variety of new church structures have to be established. The Bible Institute is just one of these. Most of the students are young in the faith. During the war, many young people missed a significant part of their normal education. The vision of BICBCBH is to train and equip the current and next generation of Bosnian evangelical protestant leaders, pastors and missionaries. BICBCBH serves the Evangelical Church.
