Cal Buss, Chair

Cal is the Canadian Managing Partner Client Excellence of Deloitte & Touche, LLP. Currently, he is a member of the UBC Sauder School of Business Faculty Advisory Board, Chair of the Board and Governor of the Collingwood School Society, a former Trustee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of B.C. Education Foundation, former member of the Board and Treasurer of the United Way of the Lower Mainland and a member of the Vancouver Board of Trade, the Fraser Institute, and the Vancouver Club. Cal is married to Wilma and they have three children. Cal and Wilma currently attend the Peoples Church.

Ken Chapman
Calgary, AB
Ken is the Director of the Calgary office of an IT consulting firm. He has served on several boards and has won national awards for his leadership and contribution to CIPS, the society for IT professionals. He is married to Karen, and they have two adult children who are both married. Ken is an elder at Foothills Alliance Church in Calgary.

Jim Doherty
Toronto, ON
Jim is a Partner with Ernst & Young and is the National Practice Leader for the Life Insurance Actuarial Practice. He has been with E&Y for 13 years, and has worked in the life insurance industry as an actuary for over 30 years in Canada and New Zealand. Jim is married to Barb and has two children. Barb and Jim are actively involved at Leaside Bible Chapel. Jim is currently serving on 4 boards, and has served on several others in the past.

Dr. Michael Lau
Scarborough, ON
Michael is a pathologist at Markham Stouffville Hospital in Markham. He sits on his local church Missions Ministry Committee and has participated in a number of short term mission trips in the past few years. He is currently studying part-time for a Master degree at Ambrose University College Seminary Program. Michael has been married to Serena for over 17 years and they have 2 children. He and his family attend Scarborough Chinese Alliance Church, Scarborough, ON.

Richard Loeppky
Oliver, BC
Richard has had a long career as an educator, but now runs his own distribution company. He is still passionate about education and coaching, and has a vision to mentor potential leaders to become successful in business. Richard is married to Mary, and they have four children, and seven grandchildren. Richard and Mary have been involved in many ministries in the church, and recently helped provide a pre-marital counselling program in a church in Calgary.

Ellie Ross
Vancouver, BC
Ellie Ross began her career as a teacher in the public school system, and after 15 years embarked on a successful career in real estate sales. She became Director of Training for a national real estate firm, and later ran her own real estate business. She also studied part time at Regent College, which gave her the vision to help facilitate similar opportunities for others. Ellie attends St. Helen’s Anglican Church in Vancouver.

Dr. Kay Fung-Wang
Vancouver, BC
Kay is a dentist with special interest in children's dentistry. She has been involved in numerous University committees and elementary school PACs and fundraising campaigns. Kay is married to Cheng Lun Wang, and they have three children. She and her family are members of Vancouver Alliance Church.

Joe Zendegui
Tampa, FL
Joe is President of Gabriel BioConsulting, a consulting company providing business development and management services to the biotechnology industry. He has previously served in executive management positions in two publicly traded biotechnology companies. Joe is married to Vicki and they have two adult children. Joe has previously served on two community Boards and has been directly involved with corporate Boards, representing two corporate functions. Joe and Vicki live in Tampa Florida and attend church at the South Tampa Fellowship. They have worked together and separately with several Christian ministries including an outreach to drug addicted women in Vancouver (Joe and Vicki), men's ministries, and TruthMedia (Joe).

OFFICERS:

Gordon T. Smith, President
Gordon joined reSource in June of 2003 having previously served as Dean and Associate Professor Spiritual Theology at Regent College in Vancouver. Prior to Regent, Gordon also served as the dean and professor of theology at Canadian Bible College and Theological Seminary in Regina, Saskatchewan and the Alliance Biblical Seminary in the Philippines. Gordon has also served as the senior pastor of two congregations, as associate pastor of Tenth Avenue Alliance church in Vancouver, and more recently has provided interim preaching ministry at several churches. Gordon has authored a number of books. He is married to Joella and they have two married sons and three grandsons.

Greig S. Sheppard, CGA, Treasurer
Greig has a public practice of accounting and is the treasurer for reSource. Greig is married to Laurel and they have two children. They attend Emmanuel Community Church in Richmond, BC.

Evelyn Harrod, Finance Administrator
Evelyn works as support staff for reSource and has been involved in several leadership roles through ministry with her church and denomination. She serves on the boards of the Christian & Missionary Alliance in Canada and Chosen People Ministries, Canada. Evelyn has been married to Bill for 35 years and they have two married sons, a daughter and three grandchildren. She and Bill attend Richmond Alliance Church.
